In the early years of the Second Era, during the time of The Great Injustice and the Oppression Wars, a force had begun to grow unchecked and seemingly unstoppable. They called themselves The Order of the Candle, a group of headstrong nobles and knights bent on doing right by the people. Their main goal: destroy and wipe out all manners of thievery, lust and killing. Focusing on those businessmen whom sold the commodity of death, they tracked down people of this very nature and slaughtered them without proper trial or confinement

Driven underground and outcast, chaos ruled the underworld. Labeled the scum of society and considered nothing more than degenerates, all seemed lost to our ways. It was around the 131st year of the Era that a man came from the shadows calling himself Soergon. Having appeared as if sent by the God Cyric himself, his pale eyes and quiet demeanor did not lend much attention. His actions, however, soon would. Dressed in a simple black robe adorned with a dark purple sunburst holding a white skull and crossed daggers upon its forehead, Soergon slowly began to call for a Gathering. "Stand in unity against our common foe, my Brothers of the Shadow, and untouchable we shall be." His message was clear: let us resurrect our fallen faith and restore the glory of our names to society. These simple words would form the Guild of the Dark Sun.

The GuildHall was build quietly underground in the seedy village of Dargon near the coast of Stromgald. Visited mostly by cutthroats and pirates from the high seas, it seemed a most appropriate place to go unnoticed. Slowly as the news spread via one bloodstained mouth to the other, thieves and assassins of surrounding town and cities heard of the Guild. Slowly they began to arrive at the doorstep of Soergon's new establishment seeking shelter and oneness with the Dark Sun. Realizing that his dream was slowly shaping into order, it was also found that rules, guidelines and a ranking structure would be needed. So Soergon set forth to conducting such a task. He called for a special meeting of his personnel and established his seconds in command. Four were chosen, to make a total group of five including the Guild Master. This was done in order to settle any disputed issue with a vote.

These four received the titles of Master Dragoons and thus the Council ofMasters was formed. Their names were Rohnin, Hardik, Zoaklir and Llohrn. Together with Master Soergon, the first ever Book of the Dark Sun was put forth by these great men.
